Sub-1nm Ultrathin Nanocrystals: Phase Stability and Their

Abstract: When their sizes approach near 1nm, the surface atoms in ultrathin nanostructures will become dominant as compared with those in bulk or traditional nanocrystals with bigger sizes. As a result, the influence of surface effects on the inherent properties of the whole structure will become more remarkable. In this talk, we will present the synthesis of ultrathin nanocrystals as well as their size- and surface-dependent phase-stabilities. TiO2(B)  nanosheets with atomic thickness were synthesized for the first time which show tunable phase stability and bandgap properties. As a model system, TiO2(B) was chosen to demonstrate their surface-coverage dependent properties. Heteronanostructures like Ni-Co complex/1T MoS2were constructed to show multifunctional catalytic properties for full water splitting. The hydrazine-induced phase transition of 2H-MoS2to 1-T MoS2will be discussed.

个人概况: 王训,清华大学化学系教授,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者(2007),教育部“长江学者”特聘教授(2014),化学系系主任(2014.10-今),有机光电子与分子工程教育部重点实验室主任。1994-2001年就读于西北大学,获本科、硕士学位;2004年获清华大学博士学位。2004-2007年任清华大学化学系助理研究员、副教授,2007年起任清华大学教授。主要从事无机纳米材料化学研究,在无机纳米晶体、纳米催化剂控制合成、形成机制及组装领域取得了一些进展。共发表SCI论文200余篇,论文SCI总引用17000余次。兼任《化学学报》编委、《中国科学:化学》编委,Editorial board member of Advanced Materials,Editorial board member of Nano Research,Scientific Editor of Materials Horizon,Associate Editor of Science China Materials,Associate Editor of Science Bulletin、中国化学会副秘书长、中国化学会青年工作委员会副主任。入选第三批国家“万人计划”科技创新领军人才、首批中组部青年拔尖人才支撑计划。曾获Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry(2015)、首届高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖(科学技术)青年科学奖(2015)、第八届“中国化学会-巴斯夫青年常识创新奖”、2009年第十一届中国青年科技奖、2009年“中国化学会-英国皇家化学会青年化学奖”、2005 IUPAC Prize for Young Chemists等奖励和荣誉。
